I really do enjoy speaking at corporate meetings, schools, clubs, bookstores, and libraries worldwide. How else would I get to use all the old jokes I’ve got stored up? Sometimes I’m even in the right place at the right time and can accept a speaking invitation without the organization having to bear any costs to get me there.
Here are a few of the topics on which I have recently spoken:
- An American Expatriate in Asia - It’s not as easy as it looks
- The Arab Spring and the Asian Fall - Political and social change threaten Asia’s old order
- The Life of a Novelist in Bangkok is Not What You Think - Or maybe it is
- Read Any Good Asian Crime Fiction Recently? - Forget Stieg Larsson Already
If your group would like to hear what it means to be an American novelist living in Asia today and experiencing firsthand the tide of change sweeping over the region, find out when I might be available in your area.
Just go over to the CONTACT page on this site and send me an inquiry. I’d love to hear from you.
